Karimi’s Students: News & Recent Achievements

 

Nader Sayadi, Ph.D., ’21. UT Austin.

Karimi served as an external reader and was a member of Nader’s PhD dissertation committee at the University of Texas at Austin.

Nader Sayadi was awarded a prestigious MET fellowship to pursue research on early modern Iranian architecture and material culture. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester.

Art History major Kayla Rausch is the 2022 recipient of the New Bedford Art Museum/Artworks! Fellowship.

Dalal Musaed AlSayer, Ph.D., ’20. UPenn.

Karimi served as an external reader and was a member of Dalal’s PhD dissertation committee at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dalal is now an Assistant Professor of Architecture in the College of Architecture at Kuwait University. Her research lies at the intersection of architecture, environment, and development in the context of the Arab World during the twentieth century.

Hannah Gadbois ’16. UMD.

Karimi served as Hannah’s supervisor in several research and curatorial projects at UMD.

Hannah was recently admitted into the PhD program in Art History at the University of Illinois.
